DESCRIPTION:The special activity for this meeting will be the Art Challenge, “Looking Through a New Lens”.\nHave you ever been staring at a tree trunk and after some time you start to see someone’s face in the bark?\nOr noticed how traffic lights can look like glowing Christmas lights when you take your glasses off?\nSeen shapes in the clouds?\nNoticed new details when you squint really hard and look up closely?\nCreate something to show a subject through a new lens, a different perspective or interpretation. Bring it to this meeting and share your work, and vote for your favorite.\nPrizes: 1st – $50, 2nd and 3rd – $25\n \nMeetings take place at the Whatcom Art Center!  Located in Fairhaven, at 1105 11St, Bellingham, WA\nBring art for Artist of the Month competition\nThere will be a drawing for a $10 gift certificate from Dakota Art Store\nThe librarians will be there with the WAG DVDs, etc. Please bring any tapes or books you have borrowed in the past.\n \n
